Skiplog pricing: £1,188 a year, or £129 a month
Skiplog costs £1,188 a year, which works out at £99 a month, or £129 a month if you would rather pay month by month. Both plans are the same software for one permitted site, with unlimited waste transfer notes, unlimited tracked registrations, receipt-of-waste rows ready for Defra's spreadsheet, and a 60-day free trial.

Which plan fits your yard
There are two plans, Annual and Monthly, and they are the same software. The only thing that changes is when the money leaves the account.
Annual
£1,188 a year, which works out at £99 a month, billed once a year. It is for yards that plan a season ahead and would rather settle the compliance line once, at the start, and not think about it again until next year.
Monthly
£129 a month, cancel whenever you like. It is for an operator who wants to watch Skiplog work through a full quarter of loads, a run of receipt reports and a full quarterly return before committing to a year.
Both plans cover one site. Waste transfer notes are unlimited and tracked carrier, broker and dealer registrations are unlimited, so a busy week in the yard does not cost more than a quiet one, and nobody has to ration notes at the weighbridge.
What both plans include
Digital transfer notes
Waste type, EWC code, weight, carrier details and destination, filled in on a phone or tablet at the weighbridge rather than on a pad in the cab.
A note in under two minutes
The form is built to be completed in under two minutes on mobile or tablet, because the lorry is waiting and the driver wants the ticket.
Offline capture with a sync status
A note saves to the device first, carries a visible queued, syncing or synced status, and sends when connectivity comes back. Skiplog is built to help you keep the record, not to vouch for what gets typed into it.
Receipt-of-waste rows for Defra's spreadsheet
The note form captures the receipt fields Defra's service asks for, and the receipts screen exports the rows in Defra's own template column order, for your yard to upload. The export sends only the rows that pass the upload checks, and points each failing row at the field to fix.
What is still to report, and what Defra accepted
A dashboard card lists the loads you have not reported yet, grouped as overdue, due today and due tomorrow. After an upload you confirm the batch, record the Defra reference against each load, and log a rejection notice with the corrected deadline it sets.
Quarterly EA return as a CSV
The quarter's notes export as a CSV in the column layout you set for your returns, so the figures do not have to be retyped from a pad into a spreadsheet. Check the totals against your own before you send anything to the EA.
Registration tracking with expiry reminders
Carrier, broker and dealer registrations with their expiry dates on one screen, flagged when one falls inside 30 days, with an email reminder and the dates in your own calendar so the renewal lands before the lapse does.
Site dashboard with tonnage by waste type
Notes logged and tonnage by waste type for the site, so the office can see the quarter taking shape instead of totting it up at the end.
Unlimited notes and registrations
No per-note charge and no cap on tracked registrations. One site per plan, on both Annual and Monthly.
How billing works
The trial
Both plans start with a 60-day free trial. Two months is enough to put real loads through the yard on a tablet, report a few weeks of receipts, track a registration to its expiry flag, and pull a quarterly CSV before you decide whether to keep it.
After the trial
Annual is billed once a year at £1,188. Monthly is billed every month at £129, and can be cancelled whenever you like. Payments are taken by Stripe, so card details never touch Skiplog: the account holds your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference, nothing more.
A lapsed trial does not lock your records away, and the page on what happens to your records if the trial lapses or you cancel gives the full picture.
Limits, and leaving
There is no usage limit to run into, because transfer notes and tracked registrations are unlimited on both plans. The one limit that matters is sites: a plan covers one site, and the page on whether one subscription covers more than one site explains what a second yard means.
The price is per site, not per person. The people you add to the yard get their own accounts, so the weighbridge and the office each sign in as themselves with an email address and a password, and every note names who wrote it.
When you want out for good, Delete account sits on the Billing screen in the app and cancels a live subscription before removing everything at once, and the page on cancelling a subscription walks through that in full.
Why the number is on the page
If you have been pricing up the October 2026 digital waste tracking mandate, you have probably met a few quote forms. We put the figure on the page because a yard with one site and a handful of staff needs to know, in one minute, whether this is a £100 decision or a £1,000 one.
Skiplog is built for one site: a skip yard or transfer station with a weighbridge, a tablet and nobody spare to be a full-time compliance clerk. It is made to help you keep the records the rules require, to get each load's receipt rows out in the column order Defra's spreadsheet wants, and to get the quarter's figures out in the EA's column layout. Your yard does the upload, and Skiplog cannot vouch for what gets typed into a note.
The reporting window is short: Defra's guidance gives receiving sites a small number of working days per load, which is why the dashboard counts them down rather than leaving you a separate list to keep. If you are still deciding whether you need paid software at all, or how Skiplog sits next to the bigger waste platforms, the other pages in this section take those questions on directly. The security page sets out exactly what is stored, where it is held and how long records stay.
Questions
How much does Skiplog cost?
£1,188 a year, which works out at £99 a month, or £129 a month paid month by month. Both plans include the same software and the same limits.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Both the Annual and Monthly plans start with a 60-day free trial.
What is the difference between the Annual and Monthly plans?
Only the billing interval and the price. Annual is £1,188 a year, the same product for £99 a month, billed once a year. Monthly is £129 a month, cancel whenever you like. Both cover one site with unlimited transfer notes and unlimited tracked registrations.
Is there a limit on how many waste transfer notes I can record?
No. Waste transfer notes are unlimited on both plans, and so are the carrier, broker and dealer registrations you track. A busy week costs the same as a quiet one. The limit that does apply is one site per plan.
Does reporting receipts to Defra cost extra?
No. Receipt-of-waste rows in Defra's own spreadsheet column order are included on both plans, along with the receipt fields on the note form, the check that each row will pass before you upload, the Defra reference against each reported load, and a rejection notice with the deadline it sets. Your yard does the upload to Defra's service.
Does the price change if more than one person uses it?
No. The price is per site, not per person. The people you add to the yard get their own accounts and sign in with an email address and a password, so the weighbridge and the office are not sharing one login.
What happens to my records if the trial ends and I have not started a plan?
A lapsed trial does not lock them away. The page on what happens to your records if the trial lapses or you cancel sets out the retention in full.
How do I pay, and where are the records held?
Payments are taken by Stripe, and card details never touch Skiplog: it stores your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. The application and its database are hosted on Amazon Web Services. The security page sets out the full list of what is stored and who else touches it.
